The Makatoh Reconciliation and Healing Horse Ride is led by Dakota Elder Wilfred Keeble, who is referred to as the Staff Carrier (aka: Leader) of this and many other horse rides. Under Wilfred's leadership, year long programming and horse rides take place to help bring youth into the Dakota culture, language, ceremonies and traditions. The funds that are raised through the Go-Fund-Me and other donations help support the Makatoh Reconciliation and Healing Horse Ride as well as many other youth rides throughout the year. Funds raised help to cover the cost of hay for the horses, gas for the trucks hauling the trailers and horses, repairs and maintenance of equipment and vehicles, as well as meals for the riders along the route.
Your contribution is a tax-deductible donation, the funds are held in a fiscal sponsorship with the Native American Church on Crow Creek Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota (Tax ID 46-2093327).
